Housekeeping staff maintain a clean, safe and pleasant environment for residents, staff and visitors. Resident areas are cleaned on a regular basis. Residents can help with light housekeeping such as dusting, and in generally keeping their room in good order.

Room Guidelines

To minimize room congestion and keep residents safe, we ask residents and families to follow these guidelines:

• Off-site seasonal storage is handled by a family member.
• A bed, wall shelf and dressers are provided.
• Throw rugs and floor or wall-secured lamps are not permitted for safety reasons.

Our on-site laundry service operates 7 days a week. Nursing staff regularly pick up soiled laundry from each room, and housekeeping staff return items within an 8-hour period, placing them in drawers or closets as required. Bed linens are changed as needed.

Because our laundry uses commercial-grade equipment, we recommend clothing of durable, wash-and-wear quality. See our suggested clothing list.

Maintenance staff keep the building and grounds in safe repair. Garden care and snow removal are done locally, with help from volunteers where available.

Residents may request maintenance service through the nursing staff.
